Orleton House

Trish Hedges provided this great photo of the Coleman house at Orleton. The black and white house at Orleton is allegedly the “Coleman house”; with Fanny and Jack outside on a visit to go round. The house is referred to by Uncle Ned on the Richard page of his Family Notes although frustratingly incomplete: the house still stands in Orleton near the crossroads. In the footsteps of Fanny and Jack, John Derry Coleman and Jane Britten visited the house during their Coleman Hunting in 2011 finding that the house still stands but the chimney has moved. John and jane also visited the church, Orleteon St. George where there are family graves relating to W.Coleman (1752-1832) and Betty Bevan.
